At VERTER, we manufacture a robust hydraulic forestry grapple designed for pulling out roots and stumps, clearing and reclaiming terrain, and handling timber, logs, trunks, branches and forestry residues.

The grapple is manufactured from high-strength and wear-resistant steel. The lower digging tines, which work directly in the ground and are exposed to the highest wear, are made from wear-resistant Hardox steel with a hardness of 450–500 HB. The ends of the holding arms are fitted with wear-resistant Hardox plates.

Two independently operated hydraulic holding arms provide a firm grip on the material and make handling uprooted roots and stumps easier.

The forestry grapple is particularly suitable for:

• pulling out stumps and complete root systems,
• removing unwanted trees and vegetation together with their roots,
• land reclamation and levelling after forestry work,
• collecting and moving roots and wood waste,
• handling logs and tree trunks,
• handling branches, forestry residues and material left after logging,
• preparing wood material for further processing or chipping.

Using roots, stumps and logging residues for wood chip production can provide an additional source of usable biomass from material that would otherwise remain on site or require separate disposal.

We can manufacture the grapple with an attachment system made precisely to suit your machine, excavator or loader.
This product belongs to the same category of forestry attachments as, for example, the Woodcracker® G range by WESTTECH. The grapple offered here is VERTER’s own product and is neither a WESTTECH product nor an original WESTTECH part.
